A tiny board with multiple connectivity options! This is an ESP32 development board with GSM module integrated. It uses ESP32-WROVER-B module for WiFi and Bluetooth and SIM800L for 2G GSM/GPRS connectivity. This board is great for Internet-of-Things (IoT) projects where internet connectivity is vital. I/O headers are not soldered by default, however, pins are included.
Power and data transfer
The board has a USB-C connector for power and data transfer. There is a CP2102 USB to TTL chip on board for direct connection to a PC for uploading program. A USB-C to USB Type A cable is handy for this purpose, sold separately. Alternatively, there is a 2-pin 1.25mm pitch connector to power the board from a 3.7V lithium battery. There battery will be charged when the USB-C power cable is connected
Connectivity
The SIM800L chip on board supports quad-band GSM/GPRS 850/900/1800/1900 MHz. There is a SIM card slot that accepts nano-size SIM card operating with 2G network. There is an antenna connector on-board. A slim sticker-type cellular antenna is included. However you can also stick other external cellular antenna if you wish to do so.
The WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity is driven by ESP32 module with built-in PCB antenna.
