Qualcomm's Quick Charge (QC) technology allows a power source to deliver higher voltage than the standard 5V USB voltage. Because of this, a compatible device (usually a mobile phone) charged faster with a QC charger compared to other non-QC charger. QC technology is very common nowadays with many USB wall charger and power bank supporting it.
This cable has a USB connector on one end and a common 5.5 mm x 2.1 mm, inner positive DC barrel plug on the other end. It has a built-in chip that can "trick" a QC USB power supply/power bank to think that it is a QC compatible device and pass to it up to 12V DC. This cable can be used to power various 12V devices with a DC barrel connector such as a router and a Single Board Computer (SBC). This cable is especially useful when paired with a QC compatible power bank so that you can have a portable 12V power source.
Around 2 to 4 seconds are needed for the cable to "negotiate" with the power supply. So it is recommended to plug the cable to the power supply first and then after a few seconds later plug to the device. Take note that if your power supply is not QC capable of delivering 12V, the cable will get the nearest lower voltage e.g. 9V or 5V. The cable can handle up to 5A of current depending on the capability of the power supply.
Cable length is approximately 1 meter with 20 AWG thickness. Take note that this is not a boost cable. The total voltage and current can be supplied through this cable depends on the capability of the USB power source.
