VGA might be considered an end-of-life technology and not supported directly by the Raspberry Pi. But hey, you don't have to throw away your VGA display just yet. This micro HDMI-to-VGA converter might be a solution for you.
This is a micro HDMI to VGA adapter cable that you can use with any board that use micro HDMI port for display like a Raspberry Pi 4 or Beaglebone AI.
Unlike other cheaper alternatives, this adapter can be externally powered so that it doesn't draw too much current from the HDMI output. Connect the micro USB port to a common 5V powered USB port such as a USB hub or a mobile phone charger to power the HDMI-VGA adapter. The micro USB to USB cable is included.
This adapter also converts audio signal from the HDMI and has a regular 3.5mm audio jack that you can connect to your speaker. A 3.5mm male-to-male audio cable is included in the package.
We tested the adapter with a Raspberry Pi 4 it works right out of the box. Depending on your VGA display, you might need to modify the config.txt file and use hdmi_safe=1 setting.
