This might not be the best soldering iron in the market, but it gets the job done. This soldering iron is lightweight, portable and can be powered by any USB power source such as power banks, USB power adapter and computer's USB port. It is handy for quick and emergency soldering job that you need to do in the field.
To use the soldering iron, remove the protective cap by pulling it off (Do not rotate the cap, it will just loosen the soldering tip). Connect the USB cable to the end of the soldering iron and then connect the other end to a USB power supply. Touch the metal switch on the body and wait until the red LED lighted up before using it. If the soldering iron is unused for a while, it will be turned off by itself automatically.
The operating voltage is 5V with 8W power. It is best if your USB port can supply at least 1.5A-2A.
