This is a 4-in-one board featuring different mixture of input and output devices hence known as the "Mix Board". It is designed to be plugged directly to DVK512 add-on board for Raspberry Pi. With your own wiring, you should also be able to connect it directly to any of your favourite microcontroller.
On board, there is a 3-pin connector for 1-Wire interface used by DS18B20 digital temperature sensor. Then there is another 3-pin connector for infrared receiver. A compatible remote control is not included, so be sure to get one if you need it. The board also feature a 5-way tactile switch for joystick-like user control. To top it off, a buzzer is included as well for an audible output.
Each of this feature can be disabled by removing the related jumper on board. Additionally, there is an extension header if you want to use the pin for other purpose.
All in all, this is a beginner-friendly module that you can use to start your basic input/output hardware programming.
