These little tactile switches are commonly used as input buttons in electronic projects. They are momentary switches - the pins are normally disconnected (open), connected (closed) when the button is pressed and disconnected again once the button is released.
The button is extra tall, making it easier to reach. This is specifically useful if you put your board in a tight space such as an enclosure.
These switches works on PCBs and also on breadboards.
