This kit is designed to give you audio output from an Odroid board. It consists of a Sound Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) board and a pair of 2 Watt speaker . It connects to the I2S (Inter-IC Sound) pin of your Odroid board. This kit is great for those who need a portable, low-powered and small footprint solution for sound output.
The speakers are removable. You can glue it to the board for a permanent attachment. The speaker boards can be detached should you find the need to separate it from the main board. Other features on the main board include a hardware volume control and a 3.5mm audio jack that you can use to connect to a headphone or an external speaker. This kit is compatible with Odroid-XU4 and Odroid-C4/C2/C1+. Different board uses different cable type for connection to I2S pin. Make sure you choose the appropriate board when you purchase this kit. When installing the kit to Odroid-C4/C2/C1+ using the 7-pin cable, pay attention to the correct cable direction as shown in the picture gallery.
Take note that this kit is designed to give you a basic stereo output and not a high definition audio.
