The Sense HAT is an add-on board for Raspberry Pi with many different types of sensors, LED matrix for display and 5-way joystick for input.
The board is attached directly on top of a Raspberry Pi board via the 40 GPIO pins. It is great for learning and useful in many applications, experimentation and even games. Be sure to check out the links below for more resources on the software side.
Together with Raspberry Pi board, this Sense HAT is a part of the Astro Pi project where they will be sent up to the International Space Station (ISS) in December 2015. For more details on the Astro Pi mission, check out the link below.
The board is compatible with Raspberry Pi Model A+, Model B+ and Pi 2 Model B.
