If you are working on RF connectivity, you will find that SMA and RP-SMA are among the two different connectors found on equipments, development boards or antennas. Although they look similar, they are not compatible.

This is a convenient adapter that converts male SMA (inner thread, center pin) to female RP-SMA (outer thread, center pin).

Most likely you will use this on a development board with SMA connector to connect to an antenna with RP-SMA connector.

Check carefully your connector type whether it is inner thread or outer thread, center pin or center receptacle.
