Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) is a technology that allows ethernet cable to carry power in addition to data at the same time. Instead of using the traditional power supply, you only need to use just one cable for power and connectivity needs.
This is an official Hardware Attached on-Top (HAT) board for Raspberry Pi that brings PoE functionality to your Pi. This HAT conforms to 802.3af standard, so you will need compliant switch of router to make use of this technology.
This add-on board is compatible with Raspberry Pi 4 Model B and Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ only.
