The purpose of this add-on board is to turn your Pi Zero into a USB dongle, pluggable into any standard USB port of a computer, laptop etc. This is very useful as you can access and program your Pi Zero from your computer without additional mouse, keyboard and display. Once plugged, you can access your Pi Zero via SSH for command line interface or via VNC for graphical interface.
The board itself is fairly simple to install and no soldering required. There are spring-loaded contact points that making connection to the Pi. Just fix screws and nuts to the four corners of this board, together with Pi Zero board. To access Pi Zero via USB, you will need to change some settings in config files as described in the link below.
