Near Field Communication (NFC) is a popular technology in the recent years with many smartphones are adopting it.
PN532 NFC Breakout Board enables you to add Near Field Communication in your electronics or embedded prototyping project. The PN532 chip from NXP is widely used in many NFC enabled devices and able to read/write NFC tags as well as performs peer-to-peer communication with other NFC devices. It can also perform "tag emulation" where it act like a NFC tag. This chip is also popular among open-source communities and there are already quite a number of libraries supporting it.
You can use I2C, SPI or HSU (High Speed UART) to talk to this board. The communication mode can be selected by a DIP switch on-board.
A built-in antenna, tuned to 13.6MHz is surrounding the board edges. The communication range is around 5 to 7 cm.
This board is not fully assembled, some light soldering is required.
