On-Metal NFC sticker is designed to work well on metal and non-metal surfaces. It has an extra metal isolation layer (ferrite) to be placed in between the metal surface and the antenna. Because of this, the tag is slightly thicker (approx. 0.5mm) than the normal paper tag.
