This is a simple and cost effective NFC reader that reads the identification (UID) of a tag and outputs the data as a keyboard entry.
The reader connects to a PC via USB and it represents itself as a standard USB HID Keyboard. Whenever a tag is detected near the reader, it reads the UID and type a 10-number representation of the UID to the text input. Therefore, this reader can be used to enter UIDs in software such as web browser, word processor, spreadsheet, database or any other software as long as it can accept text input. No specific driver or software required. Just plug and play!
It is a solution for adding NFC tag identification, without heavy modification to your existing software. In can be used in areas such as inventory control, event registration, time attendance, access control and many more.
This reader is supported in Windows OS, Linux and Android mobile devices (using USB OTG cable).

Reader output format
This reader reads 4-byte UID tags (e.g. Mifare 1k) and outputs the data in the form of a 10-digit decimal number. This is a common format used by access control systems and transportation cards. Please make sure that this is the format that you need.
For tags with 7-byte UID (e.g. Ultralight, NTAG213, NTAG215, NTAG216), only the first 4-byte will be read.
A carriage return (enter) is added at the end of the number.
