This is a mini camera module specially made for Raspberry Pi Zero v1.3 board. It uses the OV5647 5 megapixel camera sensor which is the same as the official Raspberry Pi camera v1. Unlike the other camera module, the lens and other components are integrated within the cable making it more compact. The cable fits the camera port of the Pi Zero which is smaller than the camera connector of the other Pi models. The whole module is only 60 mm long. Software-wise, it is fully compatible with the existing Pi camera programs and libraries.
Take note that this camera module is compatible with Raspberry Pi Zero v1.3 and above which has a camera port. To install the camera, carefully pull the tabs of the camera port outwards and tilt it up slightly, then insert the camera cable under the tab with the silver connector facing down. Lastly, push back the tab inwards. Make sure the cable sits firmly in its location. For a clearer picture, please refer to the images in the gallery.
