This DC-DC power adapter converts 12V from the regular cigarette lighter port in your vehicle to 5V on a micro USB connector. It can then be used to power any device with micro USB port which includes Raspberry Pi. You can also use it to charge mobile phones and tablets as well.
There is an indicator LED just so you know that the power supply is working. There is also a two-level tension adjustment switch. If the power supply is too loose when plugged in, flip the switch for a better fit.
