This ribbon cable has a female IDC socket on one end and a male box header on the other end with 40-pin connector. It can be used as an extension for GPIO pins available on SBC boards such as Raspberry Pi 4/3/2, Odroid-C4/C2/C1/N2 and ASUS Tinker Board.

Normally, an add-on board is designed to be plugged on top of the SBC. However, for any reason if you want to install an add-on board away from your SBC, this cable is handy.

The overall length of this cable is approximately 30 cm. Pay attention when doing the connection. Pin 1 is marked with a red stripe. It's a best practice to connect the red stripe of the cable to the pin 1 on the board. Be sure to follow this convention when connecting the cable avoid the risk of damaging your SBC or add-on board.
