This is a USB tester, electronic dummy load and data logger all in a single device. It can be used to test any power source with USB output such as power banks, power adapter, charger etc. You can connect it to a computer and using the included software, you can control the load current and get real time graphs.
You need to use a micro USB to USB cable to connect this device to a computer. It is not included. If you need one, be sure to get it from our store. This device has a heatsink and a 4x4 cm fan on top of it to deal with heat.
This tester has two working modes:
Load test
This is to test the power source with a constant DC current load. Plug the male USB directly to the female USB output of a power source and set the appropriate test current in the software. You can also set the cut-off voltage so that the test will stop if the voltage drop below that value. This is how you can test whether your power adapter or charger can give the rated voltage and current. For powerbank (batteries), you can also test its capacity. Additionally, this device supports QC2.0, QC3.0 and MTK-PE quick charge. It can simulate and act as a quick charge trigger for charger that supports it.
USB meter
In this mode, you can test the power consumption of an external device. In this mode, plug the male USB directly to the female USB output of a power source and plug the external device to the USB port located at the side of this tester. The software will show you the current and power consumption for the device and the corresponding voltage from the power source.
All the raw data and graphs from the software can be saved for further analysis. All in all, this is a handy device for those who are working with DC power supplies (< 20v).
