This temperature probe is made of DS18B20 temperature sensor chip, pre-wired and nicely waterproofed. The cable length is about 1 meter long, very handy to measure things in real life. The probe head is covered with high quality stainless steel housing, making it waterproof to measure liquid matter.
This is by far one of the most simplest sensor to hookup to your Raspberry Pi with 1-wire interface. It is supported directly by the Raspbian Linux distribution kernel.
