This NFC reader/writer is unique in the sense that it has two operation modes - standalone and PC-linked. In standalone mode, it can work on its own. It doesn't need to be connected to a PC or a USB host to read/write NFC tags. But if you need to run your PC/SC application using PC-linked operation, it can support that with the built-in USB 2.0 full speed interface.
This reader comes with four built-in SAM slots, making it suitable for applications that have multiple card issues or different security requirements. For user interaction, it has two-line graphic LCD, four LEDs and buzzer to clearly display application and card operation status. Additionally, a twelve-key numeric capacitive touch keypad is prominently visible for user interaction (e.g. to key in PIN or password).
Under the hood is a 32-bit ARM Cortex processor. In standalone mode, it is supported by 400KB memory space for third-party application and 500KB memory space for data storage. In PC-linked mode, this reader supports PC/SC and CCID compliance.
