This is a 40-pin strip of 2.54mm pitch right-angle, double row, male header. It is useful when interfacing or making connection by soldering them on PCB. It fits into breadboard as well.

You only need a few pins and not 40? No problem. They can be broken apart easily with a cutter or even with your hand.
